How to Make Eggless Jam Tarts (Step-by-Step)

Step 1 – Make the Dough

In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
 Add flour, a pinch of salt, and vanilla essence. Mix until it forms a soft dough.


(If dry, add 1–2 tbsp cold water.)

Step 2 – Shape the Tarts

Grease small tart moulds.
 Press small portions of dough into each mould, pressing gently along the sides to form a cup shape.

Use a fork to prick the base to avoid puffing.

Step 3 – Fill the Tarts

Add 1–2 teaspoons of SIL Mixed Fruit Jam into each tart shell.

Spread evenly but do not overfill.

Step 4 – Bake

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges turn light golden.

(If using an OTG, use bake mode with both rods on.)

Step 5 – Cool & Serve

Let the tarts cool completely to help the jam set.
 Serve warm or at room temperature.

Step 6 – Serve hot

Serve the mushroom stir-fry along with the cooked noodles.
 Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and spring onion greens.
